Sneakers

Here at ERRANT, unfortunately, we cannot boast that our sneakers are "waterproof", because you have to be very careful when using that, as it is illegal to call them that if they are not 100% waterproof. However, our sneakers are water-resistant, and it is very unlikely that you will get wet feet when you are out in the rain. It is clear that if you step in a deep puddle that reaches above your ankles, the water will seep into the shoe. But if it is a puddle that is no higher than a rubber edge on the shoe, then there should be no danger of water getting in.

There are of course other factors that play into how waterproof a shoe is. If it's an old and worn shoe that's about to open up at the seams, it's clear that water might be getting in. In addition, the material also plays a big role. If you want a shoe that is waterproof, there is nothing better than rubber boots. However, they are not terribly smart to walk around in. There are also shoes that are made of polyester and are largely waterproof, holes are often just made in the shoe to make it more breathable. That's why we've chosen to make our shoes in leather and suede, as it's a naturally breathable material, so there's no need to make holes in it. In addition, leather and suede just soak up water, especially if you've impregnated them. So it's something that works wonders for a leather/suede shoe. It doesn't make them completely waterproof, but it helps there, at the same time as it keeps dirt and grime away from your shoes. If you want to read more about the characteristics of leather sneakers and suede sneakers , we have written an article about each, which is definitely worth reading.
